Students and Novice Stage Managers / Interning on Broadway?
« on: Sep 05, 2010, 12:18 am »
Hello all,

My name is Katie and I'm a stage management student at NYU and I am eagerly searching for an internship that focuses on stage management.  So far I've only found ones at 2nd stage and Manhattan Theatre Club and am wondering if there is any way to intern on broadway shows -- especially if I don't have any connections.

On a related note, what is the best way to go about getting observation/shadow opportunities?

Thank you for the advice, this is such a great site!

Students and Novice Stage Managers / Broadway Internship?
« on: Apr 25, 2010, 12:53 am »
Hello all,

I am a student at NYU and therefore will be living in New York during the year and am wondering if there is any way to get an long-term internship with the SM team of a Broadway show?  I learned about shadowing through this website, and took advantage of it and it was such a wonderful experience that I would love to be able too see a show being executed for more than just a single performance.

Any tips?
Thank you.
