Software find
« on: Jan 26, 2010, 12:15 am »
Anyone looking for software, I downloaded Gofer lite to use for an upcoming show. It doesn't have prompt script stuff, but its got everything else for the paperwork side.  I've looked at a lot of programs and for $39 it beats anything else I've priced and it has all of the forms I use.  Found it at newbielink:http://www.theater//support//services.com [nonactive]

ADMIN EDIT: link obscured to prevent SEO boosting until Danny responds to my post below. Kmc & mac, feel free to override and rmv double slashes. -- PSMK

Danny, we have had some major problems here when new members post links to software (or anything for sale) as their very first post.  Most of the people who do so have ulterior motives, but pretend not to.

I see that the developers of this software are based in Madison, WI. I also see from your IP that you are based in Madison, WI.  I'm sure you can understand my suspicion here.

Please confirm that you are not involved at all with the development and sale of this software and that you stand to gain nothing from promoting it.

I have no issue with self promotion of a legit piece of relevant software, but if the OP is involved in this software project, I would like to see this re-posted by the OP without mis-representation as a user. If it truely is a user, I would be interested to know what sort of efficiency improvements you noticed in using the software - and what you found actually took more time (if anything).

Is the "software" anything more than a set of filemaker templates?  Are any of the forms customizable by the end user?

Just curious what the benefits of this would be.
