SET & PROPS: Water
« on: Feb 03, 2010, 11:19 pm »
For my UIL One Act, La Dispute,  I need a way to make a stream on stage that's not fabric and/ or a real water contraption. Please help.

Keep in mind we can't do any fancy lights or gobos. Must follow all UIL One Act rules.

Does it need to look like its running?

You could do a paint treatment on some kind of wood or other surface, and either pour a clear-drying epoxy over it for sheen or perhaps (a cheaper treatment) clear-drying glue.

Long shot--you might get the sheen with carefully placed Saran wrap. This could look tacky, though.

Just throwing out some thoughts!

How about just a suggestion of a stream by using something, like rocks, to create the banks of the stream?
