Showcase: Filming rehearsals

Is it true that if the actors sign a waver rehearsals can be filmed for the actors / director to watch later and not to for others to view?

It so depends on the contract . . . but AEA has become very loose in the allowing of video taping under specific conditions for specific uses.  If this is union, contact your business rep.

I agree with Matthew - call the Union.
Too often, actors are under the impression that they can waive the rules about a myriad of things.
That is seldom the case.

More often than we know, rules are made to protect the Actors from from the Actors...
