LORT levels
« on: Apr 13, 2008, 06:52 pm »
There are over ninety theatres that use the LORT contract with Equity.  That list is pretty easy to find.

Is there a list of the level of LORT that each theatre is?  How many are LORT B, which ones area LORT C, what's the closest LORT D theatre?  Do these levels change often?

Thanks,

The TCG website has that information for theatres that are TCG members (which isn't all of them).   The advanced search ( http://www.tcg.org/tools/profiles/member_profiles/profile_search.cfm )  lets you search by LORT categories.  Again, there are a bunch of LORT theatres on the Equity list that aren't TCG members, but it's a start.

How do some theatres have multiple LORT levels?

Usually, it's because the theatre has more than one stage, of significantly different sizes; or a touring/young audiences program kind-of-thing.
