I got 2 questions about the inner workings of funtrivia.com today. I guess that's 'general knowledge' I need to brush up on...

I'm pretty sure I know why it says I took 24,978 seconds today. Late last night, I played the quiz, but when submitting my answers, I got an error page (they were doing maintenance; I'm pretty sure it was the month-end cleanup). I went and re-took the quiz just now, and I think it kept counting from my initial attempt last night.

So, lesson learned: On the last day of the month, don't play the quiz in the middle of the (US) night.   >:(

Grrr Dark Tower questions! I got 6 this time. I'm just going to have to suck it up and read the books!

OK all, Killerdana has ceded her choice of topics for this month.  Therefore I've done something a little creative this time around.

Every day will be using the "Mixed Bag" topic.

We'll be back to assigned topics next month, but for once I'd just like to see how everyone does with completely random questions every day.

Today, questions #1 and #2 on my quiz asked who wrote a famous book.  Both questions.  The same book.  In almost identical phrasing.  Really.

At least I got them both right.  It would have been embarassing if I'd missed one of them.

When did the topics change? I thought we were doing Mixed Bag for March? Not that I mind, but...

Woops, forgot to reset the topic for Wednesdays.  (As I reset the topics on a Wednesday I was unable to change Wednesday itself.  Changing in the middle of the day erases the scores for everyone who's already taken the quiz that day, so... yeah.)  My bad!

Just like that, March is over and we have a new top 10 roster.  Congrats to rvhead for making it to the top of the pile for the first time this month!

Quote
26 players played during the month.

1. rvhead (393 points, 4 wins)
2. ScooterSM (330 points, 3 wins)
3. ruthny (323 points, 3 wins)
4. scott (307 points, 2 wins)
5. Lizzie (307 points, 1 wins)
6. kiwitechgirl (291 points, 5 wins)
7. blantonrk (261 points, 2 wins)
8. Sarah (255 points, 2 wins)
9. stagebear (254 points, 1 wins)
10. killerdana (248 points, 2 wins)

After the month of random challenges, it's back to picking topics.  rvhead got the picks in January, which means that ScooterSM is next in line.  Scooter, check your inbox for the menu of topics.

EDIT:
Scooter has chosen her topics!

Sunday: Animals
Monday: Hobbies
Tuesday: History
Wednesday: Geography
Thursday: People
Friday: Science
Saturday: General Knowledge

You are spared from the dreaded theatre topic for another month!  Thanks, Scooter!

Enjoy!

Wow!  Sports trivia is obviously not my strong suit.  Half the questions I had the only words that really made sense to me were "the" and "and."

LOL...me too! But I know a lot of theatre people who are sports buffs.

I got a bunch of have-to-read-the-whole-question questions today.

Marcie! Nearly every time I change my gut answer, I'm right the first time. I know that feeling!

I'm a big reader, but in general I'm not much for Stephen King.  Now I think I should start reading his books (especially Dark Tower) just so I can get those answers on the Literature quiz.  Yesterday 4 out of 10 questions were about Dark Tower and I got all of them wrong.
