KCACTF Region II

Hey Everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone was going to KCACTF Region II this January. I have never attended anything like before and am quite terrified. Maybe a little peer support is in need. Wondering if anyone was attended in the past just so I can have an idea of what to expect.

I am attending with my production of Lysistrata but an going as an individual. I understand the main interview portion but am quite terrified of the we will watch you work (**creepy man over right shoulder**) portion.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

I used to go to KCACTF when I was at my community college, but I don't think we ever made it to Regionals...

Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival

It's a national theatre conference that's divided up into Regions. Usually held in January. Region II, also called the Chesapeake Region is comprised of PA, NJ, DE, MD, NY, and DC.

Arielle - I was in region II in college and went to 4 festivals, though I never went with a full production. Let me know if there are any general questions that you have. Philly is my hometown, so I have plenty of suggestions about what to do and where to go!

I'll be at the region II festival next week.  I took a show as a SM last year and competed.  The interview was a bit intense but I don't like interviews.  The creepy guy watching over your right shoulder part actually isn't bad, for me it was more hands off.  The best advice I can give is to keep your cool no matter what happens and stay as professional as possible.  I'm not coming as a SM this year I've got a costume & lighting design entered.
