Cocaine Use Onstage
« on: Apr 06, 2012, 04:52 pm »
I'm about to start prep on my next show, Bachelorette by Leslye Headland.  There are several instances of characters doing lines of cocaine in the show.  Since we're a small, intimate space we're probably not going to be able to fake it.  We're considering using a couple substances and I wanted to know if anyone has previously used these and if they had how they affected the actors.  We're contacting the cast to find out if they have any allergies we should be aware of.

What's been recommended to us is powdered sugar, powdered baby formula, vitamin B 12 powder, and powdered milk.  Anyone have any experience with actors snorting this stuff?  Thanks.

HI, thanks for posting. We have addressed this in the following threads:

I know you're new here, so here's a quick tip - I found these by using the search box in the upper right hand corner for the word "cocaine".

Gonna lock this as we already have two threads on the matter, but feel free to take it up in either one of them if they don't fully answer your questions.
