M4M in Central Park
« on: Feb 09, 2011, 11:59 pm »
I love the abbreviation, makes it sound like a craigslist hook up . .  .

Measure for Measure
2011 Shakespeare in the Park
June 6-July 31
Delacorte Theater, Central Park, NYC

Measure for Measure (My Show) in rep with All's Well that End's Well.

(Like I need to do ANOTHER Shakespeare, but . . . this should be a lot of fun).

David Esbjornson, currently represented with the Broadway revival of Driving Miss Daisy, will stage Measure for Measure.

Both productions were last seen during the 1993 Shakespeare in the Park season.

Pre-Production Starts May 14/21, 2011.

How fun!  I worked with David last season, he was great.  And you're right, the abbreviation is a little strange.

Congrats! I was about to tell you you were on the wrong message board. :)
I personally would like to bring a tortoise onto the stage, turn it into a racehorse, then into a hat, a song, a dragon and a fountain of water. One can dare anything in the theatre and it is the place where one dares the least. -Ionesco

The playbill article . . . . .

And the official press release - how hard would it be to have added the stage management team?  I mean, there are ten of us . . .

You get to work with Reg Rogers? He's fantastic. Worked with him on Richard III - he was Richard. Hope you have a blast!

The ten of us break down as following . . . and when we get to the Delacorte, which is a vast maze . . . it becomes short.

On my show . . .

PSM
ASM
2 PA
1 SM Intern

The other Show
PSM
ASM
2 PA
1 SM Intern

Then as we get to the park, we vote 1 ASM off the island, and the PAs and SM interns become a combination of stage management and run crew.

Are you and part of your massive team here at New 42 this morning? I thought I saw you through my pre-coffee haze.
