Hi, I have no formal theatrical education, but I was thrown into stage management and have done my best to learn this crazy job. About 10 years ago I began working on church youth musicals. This is where I learned design sets, create a prompt book, call a show, program and run lights, and keep track of up to 30 youth at a time. Last year I even directed the youth musical, GODSPELL. Seven years ago I started working with my local community theatre along with my husband; he specializes in sound and special effects. Together we are the team most directors want for high tech plays and especially musicals. This coming February I'll be retiring from my day job and plan to focus more on stage management and light design and that's why I'm here. I'm always looking for tips and tricks and ways that I can improve at what I do.
