Stage Management: Plays & Musicals / PROPS: Ink and Quill
« on: Feb 10, 2017, 02:51 pm »
Hey Everyone,

We're currently doing a show set in 1840's England that involves quite a bit of writing on stage. The front row of the audience is going to be within 10 ft of the stage and raked up. We are looking for a solution to writing with a quill and ink that the actors can work with, but that won't spill or stain their costumes.

Does anyone have any thoughts or solutions for this that they have used?

The Hardline / Guest Artist Contract and Deputies?
« on: Jun 10, 2014, 01:47 pm »
Hello Everyone,

I just started working at a small theatre outside of Chicago that utilizes Guest Artist Contracts.  I've combed the rule book and contracts and it says nothing about needing a deputy or dance captain, but I don't want to not have these roles if they are necessary.  Does anyone know if those positions are required under the Guest Artist contract?  We only have two AEA Actors and then me the non-AEA SM.

Thanks,
Caitlin
