The Green Room / Re: What did you learn today?

I learned that dropping a com set on an assumed broken toe WILL make certain that the toe is broken.  :o

I also learned that said broken toe will turn many colors during the course of a tech rehearsal.

I learned today that I was right... it's offically broken.  X-rays tell all.  I also learned there's really nothing to be done about a broken toe except:
Be careful until it heals.  :P

I work in a call center - glamorous, huh?

Actually, it's a good job, I'm currently gearing up to train other Customer Service Reps to take the onslaught of call generated during Annual Enrollment for benefits.

The Green Room / Re: SMNetwork's Resident expert in...

I am the resident expert in wine.

Each year for 8 weeks I run a Wine Tasting at the Texas Renaissance Festival.  I originally was hired to assist the sommelier and then due to unforseen circumstances, I became the "sommelier."  (Though I have yet to obtain my certification.)  I had to jump into books, start drinking wines and have over the last 14 years obtained quite a following.  I do everything from researching and choosing the wines and scripting, etc. the show.  My tastings sell out every year, yea me!

I'm also a resident expert in improvisational theatre having performed professionally with ComedySportz for over 15 years and teaching countless workshops on the skills.

So, if you have a wine question, I can answer it, or if I don't know the answer I can make one up that's believeable and mostly true. ;)

It's about Virtual Callboard - I am currently in the 30 day trial period and am really loving it so far.  It might be helpful for you.

Stratford-Upon-Avon

Everytime I go to England I find myself going back there.  Great places to eat and stay, quiet, laid back, opportunity to see great theatre if you want, and with plenty of things to explore in and around the area.  I never tire of it.
