The Hardline / Contract help

I'm working as an SM for a music competition, and up until me they have not had an actual stage manager per say. My issue is they asked me to send an invoice for their work, as they have never worked with contracts for my position. Previously it was worked by the founder of the program so it was never an issue. I don't feel comfortable working without a contract but I am at as loss as i have never had to write my own contract. It's a 3 day gig and very simple - nothing i am concerned about them taking advantage of, however as i said previously I like the comfort factor of the paper trail. Any examples or templates would be greatly appreciated!
