Hello Stage Managers and Directors on SMNetwork.org!
My name is Ben Harrison and I'm a student at SUNY Oswego. I'm working with The Tech Garden in Syracuse to create a user friendly program for recording blocking notes. We are currently surveying stage managers and directors so that we can make our product as useful as possible. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,
Ben
1. In what city and state do you do the majority of your work?
2. Do you use your laptop during rehearsals? If so what do you use it for?
3. What is your current method of recording/creating blocking notes (The actors movement on stage)?
4. What are your biggest problems with recording/creating blocking notes?
5. If there was an easier way to record/create more accurate blocking notes during or before rehearsal would you consider using a laptop to do so?
6. Would you be willing to answer follow up questions at a later time?
--Mod Note: Content edited to adhere with Community Standards - it is a topic we have covered frequently, however I am hoping that the OP will elaborate more on why his project is different from every other started attempt at blocking software.
