Happy opening!

My friend Kelly works in the production office and invited me to opening, so I'll be there tonight. :)

I've used both a cannon i70 and hp deskjet 450 on the road, and like both. the hp can be a bit finnicky with how much paper you use at once, but it prints really nicely.

Mine (the Commute 1.0) is a medium, and would definitely fit a 3" binder. The major differences that I can see between mine and the 2.0 is that mine has an internal computer pocket and a slightly different setup in the organization under the flap.

Specs:
Laptop Compartment Dimensions: 16" x 10" x 1.5"
Size: 16" x 10.8" x 6"

If you're interested, I would actually consider selling mine.

Since my last post in March, I've switched nearly full time to a backpack. Ongoing shoulder pain has made the 1-sided nature of a messenger bad too much for me and I cannot comfortably switch the side that the bag hangs to...it just feels so wrong.

After a ton of research, I settled on the North Face Surge (Women's). This bag is amazing! So much room. Really. It just goes on and on, without the bag getting too bulky. Also, on of the great things about it is a dedicated laptop pocket, so I can get my computer without opening the whole bag up.

I just got a Nook Tablet from my parents for my birthday/hanukkah. Well, I guess technically it was pre-ordered. I have recently discovered that I can read on an e-reader on the Subway without getting carsick which is a huge development for me, so I'm really excited. Hopefully I'll get it on Monday or Tuesday.

I wasn't going to get the tablet, I felt like with an iPhone and constantly traveling around with my laptop, I didn't need the extra features, but it was only $50 extra and my parents offered, so who am I to turn down technology?!

In exploring the Nook app store, I noticed that they have a microsoft office compatible program, though it's a little pricey at $14.99. Has anyone played with it? It's gotten mixed reviews.

It's sort of similar to a staged reading. The code really just outlines what you CANNOT do (ie no props...which is an example, I'm not quoting). The important points on it are the hours, and what you can't use in the presentation.

I think that I use as much as I need.  I have an excel document that I created about two years ago that has every permutation of a piece of paperwork I could need for a show, including the performance items (cue lists, shift charts, etc) so that I can have it open for each show and just have to swipe through a couple tabs to make it work.

Would you be open to sharing a version of that document? I keep something similar, but I'd love to compare tabs.

A high school director friend of mine is going to be working on a production of White Christmas this year, and I was wondering if anyone here had a scene breakdown that they might be willing to share?

They won't get scripts for another 6 weeks, and she was hoping to get a jump on breaking down the basics of a rehearsal schedule.

Thanks!

Now that you've notified the job you're leaving, when will we get to hear about this newer job?!

Are you and part of your massive team here at New 42 this morning? I thought I saw you through my pre-coffee haze.
