I have to admit, doing Chorus Costume Fittings was AMAZING!!! (It was done by Disney's costume department they way they costume extras . . . they had it down to a science.)

Can you elaborate? I'm intrigued......

I'm looking for an electronic score of Kiss Me Kate - preferably with piano score as well, but just libretto would also be great!

If you have one you're happy to share, buzz me at chris.tuffin@yahoo.co.uk

Thanks!!

Not answering your question at all, but I just wanted to give my opinion on the matter...

For me, it's not the logging in that causes me to drift away, but the registering. Often, I just can't be bothered with typing in details I have already typed in hundreds of times in the last year alone. Why does Google care which city I live in? Why does Dominos Pizza want to know my occupation? And why does eBay care about my annual income?

These are all things companies use for data gathering, and it's something a production website should not worry about. From a personal point of view, if I was simply told my username is ctuffin and my password is actors, for example, that removes a huge amount of the barrier.

It's all about the increasing impatience of our world today.

2p, sorry for leading away from your original questions!

Does a score not exist with the libretto overlaid?

I'm a little confused - what sort of cues could you have forgotten? Are you looking for FOH and backstage calls?

Most of the shows I do have only about 10 performances, so for these I have a table along the left of the checklist, with a column for each performance. I print this onto slightly-thicker-than-normal card, and then affix it to the back of my notebook!

For longer shows I laminate. I'm from the UK, and so I don't know if it is the same across the pond, but laminators and laminating paper is readily available (and quite cheap) over here. Staples, Rymans and WHSmith usually have some sort of offer on. I got my laminator for £20 (about $32) a couple of years back, and 50 sheets of A4 (8.3"x11.7") laminating paper was about £8.50 ($13) the last time around.

I posted it on Facebook (Social Media Addict) and as we all agreed - if we end up like that after training, it hasn't gone very well!

Sleep, replenish my kit, see some daylight, cook a meal, wear clothes of a non-black origin. Things I haven't been able to do during the run!

"The act of engaging in sexual activity (often a quiet blowjob, so as not to attract attention) while backstage during a play or other theatrical performance. Named for Sir Laurence Olivier, widely praised as one of the greatest actors of all time."

I'd be interested in having a look - I may not use it for a while, but it could be an idea. Could you send me a link to your Streetcar site as an example?

Students and Novice Stage Managers / Re: Job Titles: USA Vs UK
« on: Aug 31, 2010, 04:14 pm »
OK, so!

SM - Head of the team, liaises with Creatives, technical departments and FOH, scheduling, sometimes looking after the Company

DSM - Manages rehearsals, calls the show, writes Rehearsal/ Show Reports, scheduling,

ASM - Propping, looking after props during performances.

I found a great page that explains the roles in a deeper way - http://freespace.virgin.net/paul.anders/

Thanks

Students and Novice Stage Managers / Job Titles: USA Vs UK
« on: Aug 30, 2010, 02:56 pm »
Hi everyone,

I was having a wander through the forums, and I suddenly realised that I have no idea about the different roles over the pond. So I was hoping some very kind people would be able to explain what the different roles of PSM, SM and ASM in the USA entail?

Thanks!  :)
