Employment / Re: Advice on my resume
« on: Nov 15, 2007, 03:54 am »
Just asking...but would someone take a lok at my resume and tell me what I can do to improve?
A few things,
Proper show names(ex. The Music Man)
no abbreviations for venues(ex. Tuachan)
try to remain consistent with month names(November or Nov, but not both)

You might want to add an email address.
(get a generic one that's not in any way embarrassing or unprofessional)

I attached a copy that I revised to illustrate some of my above points.

You have a short in the mic, not powerful energy.

http://www.backstagejobs.com seems to be widely known.

Oh yeah, if anybody knows a theatre that is hiring either technicians or a green ASM please give me a call.

Apparently we just started using a system from sellingticket.com.

The online interface is a tad cheesy, but we have not had any problems with reservations that I am aware of.

Click on the marquee logo to the right of your screen.

In case anybody has no clue what a CV is.
A Wikipedia definition is as follows,
"Curriculum vitae (Latin for "course of life"), also known as a Résumé; a summary of academic and professional history and achievements"

Has anyone had any luck finding nice-looking, comfortable, practical black shoes that are also vegetarian?
Do your shoes eat meat usually?

In a democracy the majority rules.

Simply not true.
Well yeah, we are really a republic.
And a bunch of rich idiots run everything.
An honest to god direct democracy is almost impossible.

To take my moderator hat off for a moment so I can be inflamatory, why should one religion get special treatment over every other religion?

In a democracy the majority rules.
From the CIA fact book on the U.S.A:
Religions:
   [Protestant 52%, Roman Catholic 24%, ]
Mormon 2%, Jewish 1%, Muslim 1%, other 10%, none 10%

Most large RF transmitters of any type have backup generators.("gennys")
Most backup generators are incapable of producing enough current to allow the transmitter to operate at full power anyway.

Wow, i'm a dork.
Broadcast, RF tech, and Electrician talk in one post.

The best schooling I ever got was on the streets of Compton.

Not.
(had you going for a second there didn't I ?)
Some inspiration:

The aim of education is the knowledge not of fact, but of values.

Knowing is not enough; we must apply!

If you have knowledge, let others light their candles in it.

We know what we are, but know not what we may be.
