Buy one cake for all birthdays during that month or get/make cupcakes/brownies.  There is rarelly any left over and it is much cheaper.  I like the birthday fund as well.

Has anyone ever had a blank rehearsal report?  I am working on Proof right now and I have had blank RR for the past week.  This has never happened to me in the past!  What information do you provide your director/production team on your reports?

What is your process for getting to know a new director?  Are there certain questions you ask before rehearsals begin to make sure you are running the kind of rehearsals that are most productive for them? I am usually able to read people pretty well, but I am having a  hard time right now with this one!
