I loved having this on television, while casting could have been done differently, its sparked some great conversations with my family and friends about what I do and why I love it. Its peaked some people's interest in live theater or at least live performance which I think can only help the theater world.

My parents took me to see the Pirates of Penzance when I was a kid and that is the first show I really remember seeing. I loved it. The music, the dancing, the people. I was in awe of the production. I wanted to do what those people did and be on stage, be creating new worlds. I was so excited. I kept going back with them each summer to that theater and now I work there. Its become my home and family. They made me fall in love over and over again with theater.

Introductions / Hello from a newbie

Hello all, I am new to the network but not to stage management. I have been doing various types of production management for the last 6 years with only a recent shift to more straight plays and musicals rather than concerts or dance shows.
While I am a college student studying Business Management at Grove City College, I also am honored to work as a ASM at a professional theater during the summers under a equity SM.
I am interested in pursuing production and stage management in the future once I get out of school and was encouraged by several stage managers to get involved on this forum. I look forward to learning from you all.
