Employment / ASPIRATIONS: Have any of you worked on broadway?
« on: Mar 14, 2007, 11:47 am »
I have been involved in theatre throughout my life. I would love to be onstage for a broadway musical especially les mis, but I have never been very good at signing and acting, so I have done mostly tech, and I like it. I have been thinking about being a stage manager. My problem is there are other things in my life that I would like to do. I also know I want to get married and have a family which I think would be very hard to do if you are working in theatre. I would like to do something in theatre after I graduate from high school. The college I'am going to allows you to do theatre without getting a degree in it, so I could do that and get the degree that I would like, and still have some experience for broadway. So I'am really confused right now. Do any of you have any good advice? How hard would it be to get a job on broadway? Is there any colleges that have good stage managment programs? Have any of you worked on broadway and what shows have you done? Have any of you done acting onstage jobs as well as stage manager?
I know this is really confusing
Thanks
