Students and Novice Stage Managers / Festivals?

Hi! I'm a high school senior, and I've been ASM for our drama club for the past two years. Today, the director asked my if I would be willing to SM for a festival that's coming up in April. Our school is doing two one-acts.
Mainly, my question is, is there a big difference between doing shows for festivals and regular shows? I'm going to a technical workshop (more of an information session) for the festival next Tuesday. Any advice on what I should be asking/finding out?
