Hello from the other side of the pond!

I am in my first year of a foundation degree studying theatre arts - management.
I've been working in theatre for about 3 years now, and its cool.

I live in England, in a town about an hour away from London. Um... I can see the beach from my window, and I use and AppleMac laptop.

This is a cool site, although i just posted an enquiry and have realised its in the wrong section so now I'm a bit worried ill get an angry email...

I remember plunging a scene into blackout half way through....

The lead male wasn't best pleased....

And that was opening night.

Stage Management: Other / Comparing rep, touring and opera

Hi there,

I have some ideas of my own to answer this question, but not having any first-hand experience of Opera is proving rather difficult.

What are the similarities and differences in ASM duties for repertory, touring and opera productions?

I have thought about the standard duties and how some might apply and others not, however, I can't seem to find many sources of information in my books or on the internet.

Does anyone know any good links or book that might give me more information on this? Also, if anyone has their own ideas or opinions it would be very much appreciated.
