At my interview, which happened at a professor's house and was probably the most awkward interview I've ever been in, I didn't have a single thing.

This statement leads to a whole different conversation on ethics and bad professionalism

I don't really want to see anything more than a resume for coming to Indiana.  Chances are (and yes there are some exceptions) you haven't had many high school shows in which you are allowed the full range of SMing.  I'm far more interested in can you think, present yourself, deal with people, and be a human.  If we are going to spend 4 years in a mentoring situation I am looking for interesting people who love to support productions of all kinds and want to learn about managing them.

two things-  First I agree with Matthew, you are there to learn and observe, not try to get a job.  But if they ask for information, have something to exchange, your card for theirs.

Two-  As you can see, many of us never quit shadowing.  That's how we learn from each other.

I placed a student at Guildhall a few years ago.  The trick is you end up paying double tuition if you go that route.  Guildhall will expect you to pay and your school will as most likely the credits won't transfer.

The SM education system abroad is very different and very tough to transfer credits.

I had a student work at Opera Australia last summer.  She took the independent study credits this year for work she did last year.  Some schools will let you do that.  Check it out if money is the issue.
