Here is yet another budding stage manager looking for the paperwork to make his job easier! I just finished a show (This is Crescent City, locally written/produced) and discovered some gaping holes in the procedures that our group uses and am now working on an updated production manual. The biggest part? Stage manager, of course!
I've been a part of this theater group as an actor and technician (as well as board member, but lets not go there...) for the last 7 years, much to my wife's consternation! It is rewarding, fun, maddeningly frustrating, and insanely time consuming; but in the end, when that audience stands up because your cast has put on the best show in 3 counties, it's worth it.
Thanks for putting this forum together, I plan to plagiarize the HELL out of it!!! (I'll give credit, I promise...)
