Hi everyone!
I've been following the site for awhile, and have even recommended the site as a great reference to students when giving workshops on stage management. I graduated with a degree in technical theatre with a concentration in stage management back in 2008, and have been working professionally as a touring stage manager since then. I'm a member of IATSE, although I'm content with being non-equity for now, as there are plenty of jobs out there for non-union stage managers.
I've just accepted a job as a stage management professor/facilities manager, and immediately came to the site looking for ideas on lesson plans. The students at this school have been without a stage management mentor for several years, and are really in need of some guidance.
I'm looking forward to contributing to the site, and meeting some other professionals!
