Getting a tour job
« on: Aug 16, 2010, 04:42 am »
Im a young SM working (some) in LA. love the work.

But i'd really like to get on a touring production, of about anything.

My thinking is most mature SMs or tech people have things tying them to a location, i don't and WANT to leave LA, and travel
Im hoping this doesn't require me to move to Ny for a while. And doing anything on the production, not just SM
I was a Lighting Designer before i became SM

So im asking: How do i go about joining a touring production?

Thanks!

Ryan

I don't know what your experience level is, or if you're willing to move, but ODC tours a lot.
