Interesting. I'll try that next time. Thanks.

In college for a dance show we used a high gloss paint on the floor on our pit and that's where a majority of a tap number took place. Come to find out tap shoes and high gloss paint make for a slippery day. So we used Pepsi and water to gum up the works a touch. But like Kay said....no diet. There is a distinct lack of sugary goodness in those diet type drinks.

Kay - How come soft drinks aren't in the bracket?

There are a whole bunch of things that have come to me over the past 4 days that could have been introduced, but they just didn't occur to me while I was drawing up the bracket.

Coffee
WD-40
Soft Drinks
Ibuprofen
Tie line
Knee pads and/or Work Gloves

However, I don't think I could have come up with enough to add another side to the bracket and starting with 64 items would have been a bit much.

If coffee was in the mix, I don't know if anything else would stand a chance.... :)

TIE LINE TIE LINE TIE LINE.

Maybe it's because I'm dating a lighting designer/master electrician, but I LOVE TIE LINE. I've used it for belts, for hair ties, for bookmarks. If we do this again, I'm going behind that.

As for coffee; I wouldn't have voted for it. I think it's one of the ickiest things ever! Can't stand it at all!
To be a good stage manager you need to have the soul of an artist, the mind of a director, the eye of a designer, the joy of being an actor...
and the ability to manage them all.

Whaaaaaaaaaaat. No. No. No. You're clearly just jealous of coffee's unprecedented success in jump-starting a 10a rehearsal, creating a happier atmosphere, and bringing half-dead stage managers back to life after the second 10 out of 12.....

Put it like that and, yeah, I am jealous.

I used to need the kick start. Not so much anymore. And even when I did, I preferred soda. I've never liked coffee. I'll drink it every once and a while but never for the purpose of I NEEDZ WAKE UP! Sometimes I feel like a caramel macchiato.

Coffee is definitely gross.  Though I'd say if you put caffeine in the bracket,  it would go all the way (especially with all those wonderful effects mentioned above).

Coffee VS. Tie Line??  That's like the Frazier Ali fight.

Yes. I'm old.
