Paid Internships
« on: Dec 21, 2010, 08:03 pm »
Hello,

I have been researching internships for quite some time and wanted to see if anybody had any recommended paid internships. I am very adamant about the internship being paid, I worked an unpaid one last summer, and as much as it was a great experience, the cost of living drained my funds. I have zero preference as to location so please recommend away!

Thank you!

I think highly of the Stage Management Internship program I supervised at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington DC.  But, I don't know how it changed since I left.

I've done internships at North Shore Music Theatre (Danvers MA), PCPA Theatrefest (Santa Maria/Solvang CA) and Virginia Opera (Norfolk VA). All of them were paid and I would recommend any of them, depending on what you're looking to specialize in.
