I keep seeing it at Staples (only in white, though) and always wonder if it's worth the money. I would absolutely use something like this for my call book if it came in 1/2, though... Hmmm.

Spotted these at Target!



6 different colors, narrower than the post-it version, and each roll is just as long as the post-it rolls are.

I found it in the kids' art supplies section. It doesn't seem to be online, but maybe you can call your store ahead and see if they carry it? I can vouch for the DC Target having them earlier this week.

I use this stuff to mark cuts in opera scores. It is a good combination of permanent and removable for me. Plus you can write on it like a post it note, which is always a plus
