So, I guess part of my question would be why were the schools delayed - based on the subject, we're assuming snow, but.... Is the school being given their money back? If not, discussion ends, company get paid.
Did the cast and crew have difficulty getting to the theatre?
So the school could have come for PART of the show but chose not to. Or stayed beyond school hours (it's been awhile, but I know I went on field trips that didn't return until after 3pm - would have required contacting parents, but again, the school chose not to deal with the extra work? )
The cast and crew reserved that extra time that week with the understanding that they would be receiving extra compensation, perhaps even passing up on alternative income (teaching, voiceover gig, temp work, etc)
Was the company notified before they left their homes? (if they aren't paid, essentially this cancelled 9th performance is actually COSTING them money in transportation costs.)
