Well, everything that was posted I agreed with.
But here's the thing.
The theatre, as producer, refuse to tell the cast, etiher as a rider nor post anything on the callboard. I was told not to notify the cast.
The union, when I called the business rep, also stated they felt like this concession was minor enough that no one need to be inform.
(So wait, the union says don't say, the producers say don't say - you can understand my frustrsation.)
In the end, during the equity business meeting, I had an actor ask me in front of the rest of the cast how they were approving this additional rehearsal, and at that point, I brought up the concession. I was able to tell both sides of the case, and why, in reality, besdies the overtime being loss, in some ways it was a non issue. (The rule in question had to do with what you can and can not use the 10 hours of rehearsal for and what you would have to pay overtime for.)
My arguement is that at LORT D overtime rate, we gave up $120.00 a week by this concession, which does not seem like small potatoes - I don't think it's a minor concession - I think it's major.
But, I do see both sides of the coin on the arguement, I am just a little pissed on missing out on the extra money.
