BAT Staged Reading Code
« on: Nov 29, 2006, 07:30 pm »
I'm doing my first AEA Code staged reading this weekend.  It's referenced to the BAT contract, so I'm assuming that all the break rules and rest period rules carry over from that contract - am I right?  We have to take 5 or 10 minute breaks per usual, we have to give a meal break after five hours of rehearsal, there needs to be a meal break between rehearsal and performance?

I know I don't need to elect a deputy - I did ask AEA about that.

Thanks,

Hi Heath ~

I'm sure you've seen this agreement, it's the NY Stage Reading Code. I couldn't find the Staged Reading Code referenced to the BAT contract. I also have an agreement I used when I was the Production Manager for MTG - the Musical Theatre Guild - here in LA, that says pretty much the same thing. Yes, I would use the book for reference on everything including breaks...

Questions, as always, call the office! The LA office may prove to be a little more helpful right now as the SF office just got a new Managing Director.
