I also like to touch base with everyone in person but when you have 10 or so dressing rooms on three or more floors... you start with half hour and by the time you get to the last one it's five!!
I like to page half hour and then roam the halls and check in with everyone. Luckily I have enough assistants to cover making the rest of the calls if I am not in the office or backstage at the calling console.
Its also nice where I am currently because the office is right by the stage door and callboard so most people check in with me when they come in because I am right there.
