Hello trivia friends!!

I apologize for the delay in posting the winners for September.  I got married last weekend, and then was away from my computer, and am just finally catching up!

Here are the winners for September:

1. ruthny (244 points, 8 wins)
2. ScooterSM (231 points, 7 wins)
3. Lizzie (230 points, 4 wins)
4. MarcieA (197 points, 1 wins)
5. rvhead (193 points, 3 wins)
6. loebtmc (189 points, 1 wins)
7. blantonrk (188 points, 1 wins)
8. babens (184 points, 1 wins)
9. stagebear (173 points, 1 wins)
10. scott (163 points, 3 wins)

Since we are so far through this month, I think the best way to deal with October is to have it be a Mixed Bag month, and then have RuthNY pick categories for November.

So sorry for the delay!! :-)

I need to stop doing these late at nite, after I finish all the notes and other emails. I make stupid mistakes on things I know - except when the questions are bizarrely obscure, in which case, no ideas whatsoever!

You know, I always viewed myself as a wealth of worthless knowledge perfect for trivia games and what not.....after having failed so spectacularly at these quizzes,I feel like I need to reevaluate my life in a significant way....

I also wonder at people who go thru the qqs and answer so freakin' fast! (do you have faster connections than I do? probably...but maybe also faster brains?) -

I just have to skim the questions/answers to have a remotely respectable time...  Which sometimes leads to hilariously wrong answers or me being completely annoyed at myself for picking the wrong one.  My husband is always wondering why I am cursing at my computer late at night... :-)

I will definitely second the not doing it after rehearsal and notes.  It makes it that much harder, especially the theatre category.  All I can ever think of is the show I am currently working on, which is never the right answer!!

To do it quickly:

Use a scroll mouse.  If you see me with a longer-than-usual-time, it means I am using a computer without a scroll mouse.

NEVER read the entire question.  Skim for key words only, and answer accordingly.

Use your first instinct. Never go back and correct your answers.

Don't care, AT ALL about time, accuracy, score or standing. The less important these things are to you, the faster you'll move!

Oh poop!

It decided I hadn't answered one of the qqs - and I can't tell you how I hate trying to hit those little dots in the centers of those circles. Sigh.

Ah well. Just had to vent for a moment!

My score today has confirmed two things I already know: I should not take trivia games at 4:30 in the morning and if I haven't worked on it, odds are I know nothing about it. I shall now hang my head in shame at my score of 3 on a theatre quiz. *price is right FAIL trumpets*

You don't have to hit the little dots.  Just click on the right answer.  It took forever for me to figure that out!
