STUPID RAIN / VIPS LOST
« on: Jul 18, 2011, 11:58 pm »
From tonight's performance report . . .

Gray, overcast afternoon with some sprinkles pre-show.

Daniel Radcliffe and Rachel Weisz in the audience; plus members of the RSC company here tonight – sadly, they didn’t see the whole show.  We had one rain stop at 8:46p, and restarted at 9:01p.  At 9:02, the rain poured so that we had to stop.  At 9:27, the crack crew (and everyone one of them) jumped on stage to dry it off, we re-started at 9:36p.  We called the show due to rain at 10:10p, during 3.1 – General Management asked to cut off a couple of minutes early, but I let the Isabella/Claudio scene finish, and then called it.  (Note:  When we came back at 9:36p, we used the alternate front of house spot positions.)

That, sir, is the suck. Sorry your show had so many meteorological set backs with VIPs tonight.  :(
