Expert in Simpsons and Seinfeld quotes.  I can insert a relevant quote from either of those two shows into 99.9% of the conversations I've ever had about anything.

My master electrician and I spent one day talking to each other only using Simpsons quotes. So I can be your backup expert.

I'm the grammar and apostrophe police.  I hate, hate, hate this seemingly common belief that every word with an "s" on the end needs an apostrophe....

Can I be your deputy? I have an almost unhealthy obsession with misplaced apostrophes and bad grammar-it makes me rage!

Me too - drives me crazy. Too many years proofing for a weekly newspaper and a monthly magazine means misplaced punctuation, bad grammar and misspelled words make my eyes hurt.

...and desserts. I am a champion at desserts, especially banana bread.

I suppose I could be SMNetwork's resident expert on British life and culture, but that doesn't really require any effort on my part ! Otherwise, perhaps I might be an expert on 'Friends' quotes.

I'm more than willing to be a co-expert, no need for backups that way  :)

It's a tough job. Someone's got to do it.

Thanks!

The master electrician recently bought a house and was very proud to say that he has to pay "The Homer Tax"  ;)

Resident Expert in Harry Potter trivia... I'm not going to lie, I'm not at all embarrassed.

I'm not even particularly obsessed with the books, and I've only read the fourth one once. That said, I just know *all* of the details from those books and I can't even think of why. Not a particularly *useful* expert, but I am one!
Don't be so reverent about reality. It's just a trick, done with mirrors.
