Yes, always, but I never bring them up unless asked directly, and even then, keep anything I say vague and positive.

I think the main reason I read them is because often, even if they say they don't read them, actors do.

And if they are chosen out one way or another, I want to maintain their performance, and if they have new motivations - it's good to know where those are coming from, and how to keep them in check.

Also, on a commercial run, it's nice to know if you show may have legs . . . .

I blog links to press on my website. Obviously not posting them without reading them. Definitely do not bring them up unless asked directly.

I generally do, but I will not show them to actors, or bring them up to actors, unless they start the conversation first.

I was actually named by name in a review for the show I'm doing right now, I've never seen an apprentice stage manager, or even the SM named in a review, and our SM team got a great amount of praise!

I usually read them, but there is generally only between 3-5 reviews per show, even less for our smaller shows. I never bring them up to actors. There have been times I've read reviews and wonder if they saw the same show I called (both good and bad).

I normally read reviews, but obviously don't share or tell the actors. I just find it interesting to see how outsiders view the show, and how that relates to things I observed in the rehearsal process and what I experience on stage every night. That is more about my persona theatrical growth than my job as a stage manager though.

I do. I, of course, don't talk about them in the vicinity of the theatre.

I worked with an actor who didn't want to hear about any press, not even preview articles, and respectfully asked that there be no newspapers backstage.

We have a blog/radio reviewer here that is particularly grumpy, and I find her entertaining. She likes very little.
