LINK: The Aggregation of Marginal Gains

It's amazing how quickly making improvements of 1% can add up.  Particularly interesting is the graph of change over time.

Great article. I think it is good for stage managers who sometimes try to do too much all at once and then get frustrated with lack of results. I know I used to suffer from that "trying to be the best" mentality. Sometimes focusing on small goals lead to bigger, better, and longer lasting results.

So true BARusslel.
This is a great article particularly for us millennials.  I find there are a lot in our generation who expect to make it big quick, to have that one great idea, to find that one job...not only in theatre and the arts but with every occupation.  Our craft is one of small gains over time.  You can only learn so much so fast, and only so much from one place.  It is important to know that to have a career is to play to long game, and sometimes that means we advance only a little at a time.

Oh, please please please do not get me started on the Millennial generation.  I'm embarrassed to say I'm part of it - though on the extreme upper end of the age range...  I wish I could secede!
