Honestly.. my life revolves around shows. I plan all my classes in the mornings and am out by noon, then work a part-time job Monday - Friday 2-6pm. Then my schedule is pretty much free and I make sure that I can attend all rehearsals. The thing about Stage Management is that you need to be there at all times, from rehearsals to the run of the show. You have to be flexible and be able to get things done. I'm not saying that you can't do other things, because I do several other things. I'm the VP of Alpha Psi Omega at my university and have other obligations, but I always make sure that they work around the rehearsal schedule of the show I am doing at that time. I personally think that maybe you should look at cutting back on dance classes, or maybe get separate lessons that don't conflict with rehearsals. Again, this is just my personal opinion, but I definitely think that if you want to be a SM and you know thats what you want to do, then you need to make sure that you are as available as possible to work on shows and be there when you need to be.
