'Wicked' Internships
« on: Aug 04, 2015, 05:54 pm »
Hey there SM Network,

I've heard that 'Wicked' on Broadway has a stage management intern program (which I'm hugely interested in) but can't for the life of me figure out where to direct my inquiry/get more information/send along an application. Has anyone here interned at 'Wicked' before - or is anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your input!

321 Management handles the show.

You might want to contact them

321 Theatrical Management
321 West 44th Street, Ste 801
New York, NY 10036

P: 212-768-8255
F: 212-768-4516
info@321mgt.com

Or, figure out how to contact the PSM through Theatrical Index, and reach out directly - maybe a later addressed to the PSM c/o the theater.

Hi! We've discussed this before. See here: http://smnetwork.org/forum/students-and-novice-stage-managers/broadway-internship/

Edit: Based on what I'm seeing in articles about previous SM Interns for Wicked, it's a networking/recommendation thing like any other job. Both of the articles below mention how the internship was obtained, although bear in mind that the public story and the actual story often diverge.

I know someone who was interviewed/invited to apply for that. I think she shadowed the show, and also took the Broadway Basics workshop- it's an SM workshop run by two (former? current?) SMs for Wicked.
