Yeah, but the issue can be with getting the money into your account if there isn't a local branch nearby.

I was having issues with that very thing being on the road so much.
Recently I switched to State Farm bank, they have a neat service set up where you take a picture of your endorsed check with an iPhone or Android device and it is deposited electronically.

And I have a stack of mailer envelopes from my bank, so I can send it in as rec'd. And many companies can do direct deposit as well. Lots of solutions!
