Verbiage on Calling Cues
« Reply #30 on: Oct 19, 2013, 02:02 pm »
Always Learning,
I've worked with the belief of when calling of cues
to have the least amount of syllables and with numbers.
So that you're not saying too much, especially with a stack of different cues.
An example would be  LQ-1, SQ-1, Spot-1, Fly-1, etc.
So with that in mind, my question is for Projections and what wordage
have you used and why?

Based on our discussion of this topic last year, the popular term seems to be "tab".

Thank you for the reminder and thank you for the one syllable word to refer to
that particular area!

I would personally use AV instead of Tab - I don't think Tab would mean much this side of the Atlantic....

Just like the rest of my calls, I reduce the number of syllables as much as possible.

Projections = Slide

Honest question - how does that translate in an educational setting?  Slide projectors have been obsolete since before you and your peers were born.

Well, programs like Microsoft Powerpoint uses "slides".

What exactly do you mean how does it translate in an educational setting?
"On the first day the lord said....Light cue 1, GO! Then there was light".
