This past semester I was working on a show as ASM, and my Stage Manager insisted on going paperless for the whole show. It worked for the rehearsal process quite nicely. However, I've never fully trusted electronics even though I'm still in college. And I was right not to. One day in tech week, we were doing a run through, and somehow the stage manager lost all of the cues for the 2nd half of the 1st act and the 2nd act. Luckily, he had a backup paper prompt book. But still. What if that happened during a show? I don't know if I can trust the paperless process.
