Band Management
« on: Jul 09, 2011, 04:55 pm »
Hello everyone!!

Managing a band is something I have always been very interested in doing and I was hoping for any and all advice/tips anyone has on the topic(how to get into it/contacting venues/press packets/job responsibilities), I admit that I don't know much about managing a band and would appreciate any information you could give me.  I have a few friends in smaller local bands and would love to get my feet wet doing some things for them; they have said that I could be their manager, I just want to know more of what I would be getting myself into.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi!

megf had a post similar to yours a while back - check page 2 of the SM: Other board for the post "Band Manager" - she's still an active user, you could PM her to find out more about her experience.

best of luck!
