AEA job opportunity with Second City - Chicago:
Second City hiring Production Stage Manager/Company Manager for the Equity National Tour of The Realish Housewives of... Rehearsals begin Jan. 5, 2016 through tour end in July, 2016 (subject to possible extension).
PSM/ CM responsible for all aspects of show. Running rehearsal /tech process, facilitating distribution of information between director, designers, cast, musicians, crew and administration; calling show; running understudy and brush-up rehearsals; maintaining artistic integrity of the show; writing reports for all performances; serving as producer's representative on the road.
Must be detail oriented, have excellent people management skills and ability to think outside the box. Previous touring experience/degree in Stage Management preferred.
As Company Manager, responsibilities include direct management of personnel, including actors and production staff. Other responsibilities include working with GM to oversee contract negotiations, arrange travel, lodging, and making sure everyone is paid.
Primary responsibility is taking care of behind-the-scenes details to help keep the show on time, under budget and acting as liaison between actors, team and all others.
Salary to be discussed. Additional compensation to AEA SM salary will be paid due to responsibilities as company manager.
