Tools of the Trade / Pre-Show Music

I'm at a smaller theatre and I have been tasked to create some pre-show music. Can anyone point me in the right direction for songs?

Students and Novice Stage Managers / Show suggestions (for HS)

I am working in HS theatre and we want to get a show done right away next year. It should be a show that the freshmen can handle, but is not a bore to the veterans. Also a good show for a new sponsor/director. A low budget show would be nice. But I haven't the experience to suggest shows.

So, does anyone have any good plays that can be done in a month or two with some newbie actors and possibly director?

I have a talent show coming up at high school. I was just seeing if you guys had any ideas or if I missed anything. I am the sound guy, we have a lights guy designing the cyc and we have a crew who knows what needs to be where, when. Anything else, and/or any tips?

Stage Management: Plays & Musicals / SHOWS: Oliver! Tips and set suggestions. Please.

We are looking at doing Oliver! for our spring musical. I am somewhat aquainted with being an audience member to this show, but i was wondering if any of you had any backstage or production suggestions i should know about. Also staging. We have limited real estate backstage at our venue so do you have any hints for getting all those sets hidden backstage.
