I'm the Prop Master at my new school, and this place has high expectation from my last one (which I SMed for all the time and designed lights)
For our play "Robin Hood" I have a good 50-60 props to handle with 2 people under me, one with 3-4 years of experience and another with none (who I have to train)
So far I'm using my Community Theatre resources to help me make medieval swords, but one problem is finding cheap wooden plates I just need 4-6 of them with 2-3 wooden bowls and wooden spoons to go with those plates....
I'll just type a list of stuff I need and if anyone has any thoughts or ideas of where I could get these for a very cheap price that would take away some of the burden, or if you have any instructions to make these items please do post (the people under me have no tasks to work on for the moment, but if I could keep them busy that would be great!)
.::PLEASE I BEG YOU DON'T HESITATE TO POST::.
toe nail polish (from the medieval age -the play is out of wack!)
Wooden Plates (6)
Wooden Spoons (6)
Wooden Blows (3-4)
Brooms (2-must look very old, If you know how to make one please share your knowledge!)
Tarot cards (one deck)
board with wheels (one of the characters has no legs, and the actor needs to "roll" in on a board with wheel, the Medieval Era had wooden wheels not casters)
Trumpets (2- Sound may have cues for this, so they don't have to work)
EDIT: Removed red moving text as it was very distracting. Replaced it with centered text. -- PSMK
