yay an 09er like me!  :P
I was also offered admission from Emerson and BU, and after long long thoughts I chose BU over Emerson.  Though I've never attended&been to BU, I got in contact with their students and heard really nice things about it.  Plus, they've given me a sweet full ride offer, and certain things about BU were in my interest.  If I could be any help, feel free to PM me!

I've been accepted for their undergrad program.  They don't have SM for grad program!  Also, I'm researching more, and learning more about BU's program.  I finally got in touch with some of their students too  :)  But any more responses and comments would be really helpful!

Hi, I've been offered admission to BU, and quite frankly, I didn't hear so much about BU's stage management program as opposed to other colleges.  I was originally planning to go to Syracuse, but then BU's financial aid is giving me a full ride, so I'm really really torn as to what to choose  ???  Another thing I'm hesitate about choosing BU is that I asked SM department head for some emails of current/graduated SM students at BU, and I haven't heard from him for about 4 days.  Other than seeing the curriculum and such from the website, I'd really like to know what SM program is like from a student who's from BU.  I don't live in US, so I responses from BU students are really important to me...  It would be great if anyone who's a current/graduate student from BU can help me out on how the SM program at BU is! (or response from anyone who heard about how BU's SM program is like would help a lot too.)  Thank you!!

Hi, I just joined this site--looks amazing!  Anyways, I'm a senior who currently got admissions from colleges.  Even though I had phone interviews with all colleges, because I live outside of US, I wasn't able to get a solid idea of the place I'm going to study at.  All the responses I had from college officials were really those that I looked for...  So, I was wondering if anyone could help me by recommending me one, and why you would choose this college to go to.  Basically what I'm looking for is a college that prepares a student to be a well-rounded SM, possibly study abroad programs, and most importantly, has contacts that would help students get future job/internships.  The list of colleges I've been accepted to is:

Syracuse University
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Penn State University at University Park

and I think I'll get into:
Boston University
SUNY at Purchase
Emerson College
Ithaca College
University of the Arts
so please consider those colleges too!

I personally am wavering between Syracuse, UIUC, Penn State, and Ithaca (I'm pretty sure I'll get Ithaca).  They all look like equally challenging programs, and are well-known for this field.  My personal goal is to work in London, so Ithaca really intrigues me (it has London/Edinburgh Fringe Festival study abroad sort of program) but at the same time, USNews college ranks have Syracuse, UIUC, Penn State pretty high.  So I'm really torn as to what to choose.  Your help will be greatly appreciated to this out-of-US and lost senior!
