Students and Novice Stage Managers / MFA?

Okay so I got my undergrad degree and worked for a little while before applying for grad school. Well, I'm just finishing up my first semester and I HATE it. It's not what I thought it would be and I am not learning nearly as much as I would like. SO the question is: Stick it out for another year and a half, or leave while I have my sanity and save my money?

Will an MFA be worth it in the long run?

Does any one know of any books with SM's biographies in them. I can only find Designer Rosters. Any suggestions?

I would say don't do it! Unless you are looking for something on the side, I find that Fringe and festivals in general are not a good choice if your strapped for cash, you may end up losing more than you started with! However, if you are just starting out, it can be a good choice because it gives you experience and will improve your networking.
