Old dog, new tricks
« on: Feb 09, 2015, 03:43 pm »
Greetings all,

I'm happy to be a part of this site and I'm looking forward to all of the "new tricks" I'll learn. I just moved back into the NYC area and I'm trying to see where things lead me, at times I feel like I'm beginning all over again but I look forward to what the future holds.

The instructions on how to post an intro requested either a tip, a story, or an interesting fact. So I'll try to combine all 3. Tip: I suggest asking for no use of the kitchen facilities during show time. Story: We had a crew member who set off the fire alarm while microwaving his lunch during a matinee and we had to evacuate. Fact: Pizza rolls really smoke when burned.

Slainte,
Karen

That reminds me of when I had ban flushing the toilet in one of the dressing rooms (the show was short, thankfully)! The bathroom was directly behind the stage and during this quiet show, you could hear it.

Welcome, welcome, welcome Karen - no pizza rolls here.

(By the way, I knew Karen . . . um . .. 24 years ago at UC Irvine . . . when she was something like 6? . . . )
